The first one is sort of a rafting/steamship hybrid that is manned by Oompa-loompa grunts. The chimney smoke keeps the floating structure aloft so as to not weigh down the whole vessel.
The second one is still a WIP; it is Grandpa Joe's candy pirate/fisherman's boat.
